Story :
B,Tech Babu (Rana) is the grandson of Subrahmanyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a legendary theater actor of the famous Surabhi group. B.Tech Babu has no intention of continuing as a languishing actor and instead, he makes his plans to head to the United States. This deeply upsets Subrahmanyam, who requests him to perform one last drama titled ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ at the Bellary Natakotsavam.Meanwhile, it is daylight robbery that is the norm in Bellary. A powerful mining mafia uses a heady mixture of money, fear and politics to keep the town in its iron grip. The entire operation is in the control of Reddappa (Milind Gunaji), who terrorizes local people and illegally destroys thousands of acres of lush green forests to feed his hunger for money. Devika (Nayanatara) is a documentary filmmaker who tries to bring these atrocities to light.
As a reluctant B.Tech Babu heads to Bellary, he discovers that he has a past in this town. He also shares a connection with Reddappa and his sworn enemy Chakravarthy (Murali Sharma). B. Tech Babu realises that he has an obligation to fulfill and a responsibility to shoulder.
What is that responsibility? What connection does he share with Reddappa and Chakravarthy? That forms the story of ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’.
Plus Points:
Venkatesh makes a very entertaining cameo appearance in the ‘Sayyandri Nanu’ song. Take a bow Rana Daggubati, for you have turned in one of the finest performances I have seen in recent times. Rana is simply outstanding in the film and two specific episodes stand out – The interval bang and the climax episode. Krish has been saying all along that Rana will be a revelation in the movie and it is easy to understand why he said that after watching the film. Rana is a perfect fit for this role, both in terms of body language and performance.Nayanatara looks good in the movie and supports Rana well. Posani Krishna Murali has a very well written role in the movie and he impresses as Tippu Sultan. Milind Gunaji is alright as the evil mining Don Reddappa.
L.B.Sriram takes the cake with a terrific performance as the tribal Matti Raju. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu are good.
The movie’s interval bang and climax episodes stand out for their sheer intensity and writing. Mani Sharma’s background score elevates the film to a new level here. The film’s pace is very good in the second half and Krish has succeeded in coming up with an arresting narrative. By giving Rana a strong motive of revenge for the atrocity committed against Raghu Babu, Krish has given credibility to Rana’s anger.
Dialogues are outstanding and they have deep philosophical impact. “Thalli Navamasaalu Mosi Kanindi anukunte Manishivi. Adhe thalli, nee thandri pakkana 10 nimishalu sukha padithe puttavu anukunte Mruganivi”, is a sample. The twist in the second half, where the identities of Chakravarthy and Reddappa are revealed, is excellent.
Action sequences have been choreographed very well. The short and crisp runtime of the movie is a major bonus.
Minus Points :
The movie has a few drama sequences in the first moments of the film and they may be tough for mass entertainment loving crowds to appreciate. Pace is also slightly slow here.Placement of two songs, ‘Spicy Spicy girl’ and ‘Chal Chal Chal’ could have been better. In fact, they could have been avoided altogether as they do nothing for the movie’s progress.
In the pre climax episode, Reddappa’s villains are overpowered a bit easily and a bit more struggle here would have helped. Nayanatara’s makeup should have been better.
Technical Aspects :
Mani Sharma’s music and background score are major assets for the movie. Especially in action sequences and emotional scenes, the background score works wonders. Dialogues are outstanding like I said before and Editing is neat.Action sequences have been composed neatly. Krish has attempted to bring more mainstream masala elements into his film this time and he largely succeeds. The master story teller in him is intact and that is one reason why this movie works big time.
Verdict :
‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ is a riveting entertainer, one of those rare films where entertainment and thought provoking narration exist together. A brilliant performance from Rana, an emotionally charged plot and a crisp run time are major plus points for this movie. Songs however could have been placed better. Don’t be fooled by the slow start to the film. More importantly, don’t miss a chance to catch ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ this weekend.SEO Tags: Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (2012) Telugu Movie Review , Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Review , First On Net, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Live Updates, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Public Talk, And Report, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Movie Review by Idle braind Jeevi, 123 Telugu, Telugucinema, way2Movies, Genuine review , Ratings, Live updates, first day public talk details, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Movie Collections, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie movie Torrent Free download, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Movie Watch online, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie Wallpapers, songs, Stills, Gallery,Videos, Trailers, Movie Reviews, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Movie movie Details
