Chiru pays Zanjeer sets a visit

The cast and crew of the Ram Charan-Priyanka Chopra starrer, Zanjeer had a surprise visitor on the sets, while they were shooting in the city. Megastar Chiranjeevi, who dropped by to check out son Charan in action, created a pandemonium as fans gathered to get a dekko of him. "I've never seen anything like this before," said director Apoorva Lakhia. "There was a serpentine queue of fans who wanted autographs and pictures of Chiranjeevi sir. Everything came to a standstill," added Lakhia.

The actor-turned-politician, who was recently appointed as the Minister of State for Tourism, took time out from his busy schedule to surprise his son and check out how the film is shaping up. Amit Mehra, son of Prakash Mehra, who produced the original Zanjeer, starring Amitabh Bachchan, said, "I always wondered what would it be like if dad were alive to see me produce the remake of his iconic film.

When Chiranjeevi sir came on the sets, it felt like dad was there. We had a long conversation and he was happy with the way the film is shaping up." The Megastar spent a few hours on the sets and what followed was a lavish lunch with the cast and crew.
