Kamal Haasan is making
enormous release plans for his magnum opus Viswaroopam. The actor, who
has turn director and producer with Viswaroopam is planning to release
his film directly in homes along with theaters.
Viewers may be wondering how? Yes,
speaking to a leading producer about the Viswaroopam distribution rights
in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, Kamal Haasan revealed his idea to
screen the movie with the help of DTH operators namely Tata SKY, Airtel,
Dish TV and Reliance, which would bring him about Rs.50cr. Seems the
ace producer is shocked with the plans and trying to ban the Viswaroopam
screening in Tamil Nadu and suburbs with the help of others.
Theater owners and distributors in Tamil
Nadu are against this decision taken by Kamal Haasan, as they feel that
many other small and big movies might follow this trend if Viswaroopam
acquires success following this scenario, which was made with huge
budget of Rs.150cr under Raaj Kamal International and PVP Cinemas
banners.
